Hazing has long been a campus safety issue and much-anticipated legislation, the Stop Campus Hazing Act, amended the Clery Act in December 2024. This new law requires institutions of higher education to include hazing in their annual Clery crime statistics and to create a transparency report to disclose violations of hazing policy by any student organizations. The law also requires institutions to implement comprehensive, campus-wide hazing prevention education.

In this informative webinar, we will explore the realities of hazing today — its definitions, prevalence, and dangers. We will cover key requirements of the Stop Campus Hazing Act, including updates on campus compliance and we will share practical strategies for investigating hazing, whether by law enforcement or within institutional disciplinary processes. By shedding light on this often misunderstood issue, we can better equip ourselves to prevent and address hazing effectively.
