Join us to explore the complexities of counting, collecting, and classifying criminal offenses and hate crimes under the Clery Act.

During this webinar we will:

  • Review the definitions of criminal offenses
  • Review the definitions of the four additional crime categories classified for hate crimes and explore the appropriate bias categories
  • Examine the history of hate crimes in relation to being added to the Clery Act
  • Discuss best practices for incorporating these crime categories into your annual security report
  • Practice how to count and classify Clery Crimes with an emphasis on utilizing the hierarchy rule
