Ensuring the precise reporting of Clery crime statistics and keeping the campus community informed about ongoing threats depends largely on Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) fulfilling their responsibilities. CSAs are individuals designated based on their roles at an institution, and they have an obligation to report any Clery crimes occurring within Clery geography that are reported to them. Although the Clery Act doesn't specify training requirements for CSAs, it is essential that they understand their role, what they are required to report, and how to report it, and this is most effectively achieved through training.
