Dr. Haley Baum is the first woman in her family to be born in America, her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were all born in Germany. She draws strength from the experiences, perseverance, and power of those who came before her. Dr. Baum has over 15 years of experience in Higher Education and currently serves as Asst. Vice President & Dean of Students at Stockton University. She holds a B.A. in Fine Arts Rider University, a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Student Affairs from the University of Delaware and an Ed.D. from Rowan University in Educational Leadership and Higher Education. Describing her work in one sentence: it is my responsibility to create conditions that matter for all students to be successful, no matter what. Dr. Baum’s dedication to higher education and commitment to putting students first can be seen through her research, which focuses on exploring student’s moral development and communication about campus crime and safety. Dr. Baum works tirelessly to educate about sexual, gender, and power-based violence on campus and believes that it’s everyone’s responsibility to keep our campuses safe. One of Dr. Baum’s favorite things to do is spend quality time with her four-legged support system, her goldendoodle, Maxwell.
