Montelleo D. Hobley, Jr., is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and safety of college and university environments. As the Director of Threat Assessment for the Division of Public Safety at the University of Colorado Boulder, he spearheads the development and implementation of a comprehensive framework that blends mental health support and community intervention strategies. Montelleo utilizes campus reporting systems to address mental health concerns, threatening behaviors, and workplace violence, ensuring timely support for individuals in need. He fosters an environment of empathy and understanding for all university members. Leading teams such as the Threat Assessment Team (TAT), Students of Concern Team (SOCT), and Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), Montelleo skillfully identifies concerning behaviors, conducts thorough assessments, and educates the community on effective reporting. Additionally, he is pursuing a doctorate in Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment at the University of Southern Mississippi, further strengthening his expertise.
