Dr. Michael Taberski Michael Taberski, Ed.D., serves as the Vice President for Student and Campus Life at SUNY Geneseo, New York’s Public Honors College. He previously served as the Vice President of Student Affairs at New England College (NEC) in Henniker, NH, a private liberal arts, doctorate-granting institution. Before his position at NEC, Michael served as the Dean of Students at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, and as an Assistant Director of Student Life at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, MD, among other appointments at institutions in Oklahoma and Virginia. Michael earned his Doctor of Education at New England College in higher education administration. He received a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in educational leadership—college student development, and a bachelor’s degree from Niagara University in criminology and criminal justice. Michael’s interest in campus safety and security began with his undergraduate degree and continued as he focused on campus safety and emergency planning throughout his career. Having dealt with several campus security crises, he is honored to serve on the council to advance the important work of improving student safety and campus security. |
