Building Your Team: More than just the people at the table

General responsibilities and oversight for institutional compliance often fall to various teams and working groups, and Clery compliance is no exception. To effectively manage Clery implementation and activities, coordination across departments is imperative in order to fully address the requirements under the law. Therefore, institutions should be strategic both in the formation, as well as the sustainment of a Clery Compliance Team. Join us as we address Clery coordination efforts.

During this webinar we will:

  • Review who is or should be responsible for coordinating Clery Act requirements
  • Discuss best practices for and challenges to coordinating a multidisciplinary team
  • Practice identifying members of a Clery Committee or working group
  • Identify necessary tasks for departments and team members for implementing specific areas of Clery compliance

Clery Center is committed to making our training accessible to all participants. English Closed Captioning will be provided and other reasonable accommodations will be considered as requested.

Following the webinar, registrants will receive a link to the webinar recording.

“Know More, Do More” Series

Institutions of higher education often set their focus on Clery crime reporting and classification, and fail to account for the equally important Clery requirements that guide policy and response actions. While it is important to develop a broad understanding of the Clery Act, analyzing the more granular parts of the law fosters a comprehensive understanding and more thorough implementation of its requirements.
Join us for this four-part webinar series,  “Know More, Do More,” as we explore more related to the Clery Act so that you can do more to practically apply this information on campus.

  • Crafting your ASR: More than just crime statistics
  • Notifying your campus community: More than just ongoing disclosures
  • Building your team: More than just the people at the table
  • Establishing a roadmap: More than just meeting deadlines
